Taxpayers can now file a new ‘ e- nivaran’ form

In order to ensure quick redressal of taxpayer grievances, the income- tax ( I- T) department will soon launch a new form called ‘e- nivaran’ on the lines of the income tax return ( ITR) form, to take care of issues related to refunds by sending personal SMSs and e- mails. The new form, like the e- ITRs and those created for I- T appeals, is the latest offering by the department and will be soon made public. The one- page form will mandatorily seek the taxpayer’s name, permanent account number, mobile number and e- mail at the time of filing. It also provides space for explaining the grievance by either mentioning the assessment year (in case of the individual) or the financial year ( in case of the deductor)
